The deadline for candidates to file for office isnâ€™t until June 1, but here are some of the State races that are already drawing our attention.
So, is Miller running? These moves give plenty for those who want him to run and those who donâ€™t alike, plenty to mull over.
It looks like the race to replace Senator Johnny Ellis has gone from â€œnonexistentâ€ to â€œfully heatedâ€ in less than 12 hours…and without Ellis even saying he will need to be replaced.
The only state offices the Downtown Anchorage dwelling Flynn is eligible to run for this year are Rep. Les Gara’s State House seat or Sen. Johnny Ellis’s spot in the State Senate.
It isnâ€™t surprising then that two of the largest and most raucous rounds of applause at the convention went to current Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz and former Fairbanks Mayor and current State Senate candidate Luke Hopkins as each took to the convention stage to speak to the party faithful.
