Alaska Gun Control Poll Crosstabs

;

Earlier in the week we told you of a new PPP poll commissioned by congressional candidate Steve Lindbeck and the Alaska Democratic Party showing Rep. Don Young with even worse favorability numbers than have been reported elsewhere.

The survey was commissioned by a credible candidate and major political party and was conducted by a reputable pollster, so there is ample reason to take them seriously.

We at TMS do not vouch for their accuracy. As with any set of polling numbers, we leave that for you to decide.

The same poll also had some interesting things to say about Alaskan’s views toward two high-profile gun control measures:

Q: Do you strongly support, somewhat support, somewhat oppose or strongly oppose a law requiring background checks on people buying guns at gun shows or online?

Strongly support…………………………………… 56%
Somewhat support………………………………… 18%
Somewhat oppose………………………………… 10%
Strongly oppose…………………………………… 15%
Not sure……………………………………………. 1%

Q: Do you strongly support, somewhat support, somewhat oppose or strongly oppose a “no-fly / no-buy” law that would prohibit potential terrorists from buying guns?

Strongly support…………………………………… 62%
Somewhat support………………………………… 13%
Somewhat oppose………………………………… 8%
Strongly oppose…………………………………… 12%
Not sure……………………………………………. 4%

As we promised Friday morning on the Rick Rydell Show (AM 650 KENI), here are the crosstabs:
