Former mayoral candidate Dustin Darden has filed to run for the West Anchorage Assembly seat. He joins a crowded field that currently includes former Assemblyman Adam Trombley, Ira! Perman, and former state legislator Eric Croft.
Darden is best known for his unapologetic religious positions on issues such as abortion and gay marriage. Here is a sample of Mr. Darden’s platform when he ran for mayor:
His entry almost certainly complicates the race for Trombley, who until now had been the only candidate with conservative credentials in the race.
