Don Young Endorsed U.S. Chamber of Commerce

;

Congressman Don Young picked up a big endorsement today in his run for re-election against….well, no one really yet.  But hey, getting an endorsement from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is never a bad thing for a Republican in Alaska. Who knows, Young could always get a real challenger to use it against later.

For his part, Young touted the endorsement in a statement and called himself a “A tireless advocate of Alaska’s business community and perennial recipient of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Spirit of Enterprise Award”.

The Congressman for all Alaskans went on to say:

“I take great pride in working to advance Alaska’s business community,” said Congressman Don Young. “Vital to the health and well-being of our economy, Alaskan small businesses account for more than 50% of our state’s private workforce, create new opportunities for our residents, and develop new innovations for our future. For these reasons, I have consistently pushed back against the growing stranglehold of the federal government and tirelessly fought for policies that allow Alaskans from across all our sectors succeed. I am honored to receive the support of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and remain committed to working on behalf of Alaska’s diverse business community.
