Plan4Alaska unveils their own state budget model

A group funded by the Rasmuson Foundation called P4A - CopyPlan4Alaska today unveiled a state budget modeling tool to help citizens understand the massive deficit the state of Alaska faces. The model allows the user to play with various elements of state spending and potential revenue streams to create their own budget plan and see what kind of a deficit or surplus they can create.    p4a4 - Copy

When asked at a roll out event today how this differs from similar modeling tools by GCI and Governor Bill Walker developers said theirs is more user friendly and fun.

You can check out the modeling program for yourself here.
