Why is it social conservative groups love cartoons to prove their point?
The Alaska Family Council’s (AFC) President Jim Minnery says they are gearing up to create a ballot initiative to protect the rights of religious groups and businesses from a recently passed LGBT rights ordinance in Anchorage.
This morning AFC sent out this cartoon:
AFC and their advocacy arm Alaska Family Action sure seem to like cartoons as a way of selling their messages. While fighting a previous iteration of the LGBT rights bill in 2012, then known then as Proposition 5, the same group released a series of animated cartoons as their primary messaging platforms:
It such a ballot initiative does go forward, it would seem we should prepare ourselves for the return of the advocacy cartoon.
