AKGOP Chairman Pitches For Money To Get Rid Of Colver

Tonight the Republican Party assault on not-Republican-enough Palmer incumbent Rep. Jim Colver begins.

Colver’s opponent, George Rauscher, is having a big fundraiser in Anchorage this evening and it looks to get a good turnout after Alaska Republican Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock sent out this email today:

On June 11, 2016 the Alaska Republican Party unanimously endorsed challenger George Rauscher for the State House, District 9.

The incumbent is Rep. Jim Colver.  He was denied an endorsement by his District, his Region (Mat-Su Districts 7, 10, 11 and 12) and by  unanimousvote of the State Central Committee of the Alaska Republican Party from Bettles to Ketchikan.

There is no “official” Democrat running in this District.  The race will be won or lost in the primary on August 17!

I encourage donations – today – to the campaign of George Rauscher.

Sincerely,

Tuckerman Babcock

Chair, Alaska Republican Party
