You may not know Thomas Lamb. He is one of the three Republicans running to wrest their party’s nomination for U.S. Senate away from Sen. Lisa Murkowski.
Just because he is relatively unknown and underfunded by Senate campaign standards doesn’t mean he is going to hold his fire. Lamb tells The Midnight Sun he has a spade of radio ads attacking Murkowski we’ll be hearing in the coming weeks.
The first, he said, started airing this morning on Anchorage radio station KENI, which just happens to feature Alaska’s highest rated commercial political program in The Rick Rydell Show.
The ad goes after Murkowski over the placement of her large 4×8 signs. Lamb is a pretty bright guy, so we have no doubt he may be correct on the legalities of his complaint, but as a rule of thumb when you hear a candidate or party official start complaining about an opponent’s sign locations it almost always means they are about to lose. It just isn’t an issue about which any voter, anywhere, has ever cared.
