BREAKING: Cullinane Drops Out, Vazquez Now Faces Grenn One-On-One

This evening The Midnight Sun received a press release from the Alaska Democratic Party’s candidate for state house in district 22 Ed Cullinane saying he has filed a letter with the Alaska Division of Elections withdrawing from the race.

Here is his statement:

Cullinane’s departure leaves Republican incumbent Liz Vazquez in a one-on-one match-up against the young independent Jason Grenn.  Should Alaska democrats decide not to replace Cullinane on the ballot, Grenn’s path to victory becomes much wider as he will likely pick up the bulk of the districts democrat votes.
