Alaska GOP Issue Statement Threatening Republicans Joining New House Majority

In the wake of an announcement from 22 newly elected state house members, mostly Democrats, that they had come together to form a new majority organization, the Alaska Republican Party released a statement including a threat from Party Chairman Tuckerman Babcock to three Republicans who joined the group that the party would actively try to unseat them.

Here is the statement:

  1. Funny letter coming from a guy who went to court to keep Nageak’s seat.

Babcock is to be commended for admitting that he thinks running as a member of one party and joining another party’s majority means running “under false pretenses.”

What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.

  2. I would like to see the video of those three Republicans “bolting” from the grasp of Tuckerman Babcock.

What an ass clown Babcock is. Elected people are accountable only to those who elected them. They represent their constituents and work for the general good of the state, not for the party. This new majority should be commended for working together for the common good. Egomaniac idiots like Babcock certainly are not motivated by what’s best for the state.
