U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski has had enough of President Donald Trump’s tweets.
This morning, the president descended into his latest Twitter feud by going after “Morning Joe” hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough. The commander in chief had particularly choice words for Brzezinkski, calling her “low I.Q. Crazy” and claiming she had a face lift last year. It’s the latest in a long line of petty and distracting attacks launched by the president, compounded the targeting of a woman for her appearance.
Murkowski, who’s been working to find some acceptable path forward on the Obamacare repeal, took to Twitter to scold Trump for the latest distraction.
Stop it! The Presidential platform should be used for more than bringing people down.

@POTUS, do you want to be remembered for your tweets or your accomplishments?

The president’s tweets, of course, became the main focus of the daily White House press briefing, pulling attention once again from the GOP’s legislative priorities.

One reporter even asked Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders how the tweets were expected to help moderate senators like Murkowski and Maine’s Susan Collins get on board with the health care bill. She turned it on the reporters by complaining that the media was letting President Trump’s tweets distract from the administration’s accomplishments.
Murkowski not alone
Many other legislators took to Twitter this morning to call on Trump to show a bit of discipline.
This has to stop – we all have a job – 3 branches of gov’t and media. We don’t have to get along, but we must show respect and civility.

Please just stop. This isn’t normal and it’s beneath the dignity of your office.

They are all right. He is embarrassing us in front of the whole world.
Look at the comments from legislators to the president! How disgusting that our elected reps and senators feel the need to chastise the president for misogyny now. Where were they before the election when it mattered? How about focusing on collusion/treason which really matters now!
