Governor Bill Walker and Lt. Governor Byron Mallott today mourned the passing of Representative Max Gruenberg.
â€œThis is a significant loss for all of Alaska,â€ Governor Walker said. â€œMax has been a steady and respected voice in the legislature. Donna and I are covering his loved ones with prayer during this very difficult time.â€
Rep. Gruenberg is survived by his wife, Kayla Epstein, his sons and daughter-in-law.
Governor Walker ordered flags to be lowered concurrently for Rep. Gruenberg and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
