The U.S. Trustee overseeing the bankruptcy of the Alaska Dispatch News is worried that more than $21 million in unpaid debt will unpaid without intervention from the courts.
The Binkley group will get control of the paper as they prepare for a potential bankruptcy sale in three weeks.
The deal is being structured so the Binkleys can take on the paper without $2.5 million in debt owed by the ADN, and that’s not going over well with the creditors.
