6 Things That Latest Fundraising Numbers Tell Us

The latest round of campaign finance disclosures are out, and they matter. A lot. Candidates, parties, and flacks are all full o’ bluster and spin about their campaigns and their performance, but pesky statutorily-required campaign finance reports give citizens an unspun window into exactly where things stand. No one can hide from the numbers. They are cold, precise, and ultimately unflinching. To paraphrase the great football coach Bill Parcells, you are what your fundraising numbers say you are.

Pruitt Says He’s Crawford’s Target, Asks For Donations

East Anchorage Representative Lance Pruitt took to email Wednesday to get in one last plea for campaign donations before the end of the year. While not mentioning anyone by name, Pruitt made clear he thinks the he knows who his opponent will be “…a former legislator has filed a letter of intent, and while they have not clarified if it is for the House of Senate it is likely they will seek the House seat.”
